After: the new kitchen.

A kitchen for a ‘grachtenpand’ or canal house in the heart of Amsterdam. The objective in the design and implementation for this kitchen was for it to be merged into the authentic character of the house.

The result is a simple, traditional kitchen with painted panel doors but with all modern conveniences including; a dishwasher, refrigerator and separate freezer, microwave, 90 cm wide hob and a modern oven. The washing machine has even found a place in this kitchen and five solid wood drawers make sure that even the cutlery and cooking utensils are within reach. Obviously there is still room for all the pans and tableware.

To me this project is a very good example of custom-made furniture, such a kitchen is simply not available of the shelf in any shop.
